Sycamore Coffee Table, TV Stand, Table & Stools, Buffet

This build was the first time I used sycamore slabs. The character and colors were beautiful for the tops of all five pieces. The customer wanted a modern, industrial look and together we handpicked the wood from L & K Hardwoods. Rubio Mono Coat Pure was used for the finish on the sycamore and the buffet cabinet was stained with black hard wax oil.

The buffet carcass is red oak plywood with solid red oak doors and drawers. I used push-to-open drawer slides and door openers which eliminated the need for hardware and resulted in a very clean design.

I designed and fabricated the metal frames and powder coating was done by Genesis Powder Coating.

This was a very fun and rewarding build for me and the customer was beyond pleased to add this set to her home.
